March Bible Reading Plan
Welcome to March!
God timing is always on time. He knows exactly when to show up. We are going to dive deep and learn what it is like Waiting on God’s timing. The Bible is filled with verses that offer encouragement, wisdom, and insight into the significance of waiting on God’s timing.
Trusting in God’s timing can be challenging, especially when our plans do not align with immediate results. However, acknowledging that God’s timing is always right can bring immense peace and assurance.
God’s timing is worth waiting for because He can do more in His timing than you and I can do in our entire lives!
! am reminded today of the importance of maintaining an attitude of waiting on God in every area of my life. Wait on Him for help, for strength, healing, wisdom, and opportunity. God is waiting to be good and to show you His amazing favor. (Isaiah 30:18).
Realizing God’s timing in my life has been one of the BIGGEST lessons I have had to learn. Often this is not easy but involves a conscious daily commitment to patience and surrendering my life to Him. Through it all, however, it can be one of the most free and peaceful lessons you can learn.
Psalm 27:14, “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! “

What Does it Mean to Wait on the Lord?
To wait on the Lord means to put complete trust in Him. Waiting on God means to have faith that He will come through when the timing is perfect for His plans to unfold. Waiting for the Lord means expecting Him to move at any moment, no matter how many moments have passed since the beginning of the waiting period.
Benefits of Waiting Upon the Lord
In these Bible verses about waiting on God, we can find the following benefits of waiting on Him.
- God’s blessing and faithfulness.
- Personal and spiritual growth.
- Deeper faith and stronger hope.
- Closer relationship with God.
- Joy and peace.
- God giving abundantly and exceedingly more than we could ever ask or think.
While waiting can be challenging, it is often in these moments that we experience profound growth, refinement, and a deepening of our relationship with God. Through waiting, our character is shaped, our faith is tested, and our reliance on God is strengthened. In the waiting, we learn to let go of our plans and align our hearts with God’s perfect timing.
Though waiting for God’s timing may require patience and endurance, we can rest assured that His plans are always worth the wait.
The power of waiting on the Lord is that His will is done the way He wants it done, without interference from impatient humans like us. When He is in control of how His plan unfolds, more people are blessed in a more efficient way. His message is spread, and His kingdom is built in exactly the way He needs it to be.
Scriptures on Waiting on God
Here are some “wait on the Lord” verses from the Bible that illuminate how we should do it (all emphasis is mine).
“But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.” Romans 8:25
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalms 27:13-14
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word, I put my hope.” Psalms 130:5
“I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for Him.” Lamentations 3:24
“It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:26
“I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him. Psalms 40:1-3
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” Psalms 5:3n
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7
“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crops, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” James 5:7-8
“We wait in hope for the Lord, He is our help and our shield.” Psalms 33:20

Reflection Questions
1. How has waiting on God’s timing shaped your faith and trust in His plans for your life?
2. What emotions and thoughts do you experience during periods of waiting, and how do you handle them?
3. Can you recall a specific time when waiting on God led to a greater blessing or understanding than you had originally anticipated?
4. How do you stay connected to God and find peace while waiting for His guidance or answers to your prayers?
5. In what ways can you cultivate patience and surrender to God’s timing in your current circumstances?
Reflecting on these questions can offer you deeper insights into your spiritual journey and help you grow in faith and patience.
Many believers are presently facing the reality of delay. They are in a season of waiting. It’s taking longer than expected. Could all of these delays possibly be engineered and designed by the Lord Himself? Could He be preparing His people for something really big, and only He knows how He must make them ready in the place of prayer and intimacy first?
A Prayer for March
Father, your timing is perfect. I thank You that You will answer my prayers in Your perfect timing. Reveal what is in my heart and make me ready to handle the answer in the right way when it comes. Help me to pray by faith consistently, to believe, wait, and then move forward in Your timing. Help me to be patient in prayer, not give up, not to quit, but trust You even during moments when I feel negative emotions. I do not want to live by feelings but by faith. Help me not to take matters in my own hands, but I wait on and choose to trust you, and I refuse to believe the lies of the enemy. I choose to be faithful in prayer (Colossians 4:2). Lord, deepen my understanding, and give me a greater knowledge of what You are doing in my life. I choose to hold unswervingly to the hope that I profess (Hebrews 10:23). Stretch my faith in the midst of the wait, just as You did with Your disciples when encountering a storm at sea (Matthew 8:23-27). I thank You that You have all wisdom and will answer my prayers
