Bible Reading Plan

Welcome to April Bible Reading Plan. It is spring again! And in spring, our days start getting longer, flowers begin to bloom, and warmer weather allows us to spend more time enjoying the outdoors. Every season gives us cause to celebrate spring is the best season.

Whatever the reason—the warmer weather, blooming flowers or even the early morning sounds of birds chirping—spring makes you remember how beautiful life can be. And as we welcome Spring, we celebrate Easter.

Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb on the third day after his crucifixion. Easter is the fulfilled prophecy of the Messiah who would be persecuted, die for our sins, and rise on the third day (Isaiah 53).

Remembering the resurrection of Jesus is a way to renew daily hope that we have victory over sin. According to the New Testament, Easter is three days after the death of Jesus on the cross.

For many people, Easter is primarily a family celebration with Easter egg hunts, chocolate Easter bunnies and colourful eggs. People often forget that for Christians, Easter is the oldest and highest festival in the church year.

This is a time of celebration the resurrection of Jesus, Jesus lives!

I believe in the risen Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior of mankind.

I believe that after His crucifixion on Passover, He was three days and three nights in the heart of the earth—as He said He would be.

I believe He was then resurrected by His Father, restored to the glory He had with His Father before the world was.

He was the perfect Passover Lamb. He also became the perfect wave sheaf offering, accepted by His Father as the first of the firstfruits.

In His resurrection, I see confirmation of the promise made to all those who truly follow Him that they, too, will one day be resurrected to live forever as He now does.

Our April Bible Reading Plan – “He is Not Dead: He is Risen” focuses on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
